Welcome to Westfield!
‘Tis WinterGreen Days 2010!
Faith and Begorrah! ‘Tis WinterGreen Days 2010, Westfield’s 5th annual celebration of the end of winter and the beginning of spring. While this series of events has a distinctly Irish flavor honoring Saint Patrick’s Day & Westfield’s unique Irish heritage, it promises to be a bloomin’ good time for everyone.
This March and April, discover what’s happening in the District, Westfield’s Downtown. In the restaurants and pubs, enjoy fine food, drink, friends and entertainment. In the shops, there are sales and promotions everywhere.
The School Street Bistro will be hosting two great Music Hall events. The Celtic Rock group, Prydein, will be performing on Saturday, March 27th and Kelli Trottier, a Canadian singer, step dancer, and fiddler will be here on Saturday, April 24th. Buy tickets for both events at a special price of $20.
Our 4th annual WinterGreen Days Restaurant/Pub Tour is back! This year’s tour will be held on Saturday, May 8th. There will be more details to come soon!
The Westfield Athenaeum, Westfield State College, and the Downtown Westfield BID will all be presenting events as part of the Wintergreen Days Festival. In addition, we will have some new events and guests so stay tuned.
WinterGreen Days offers residents and visitors alike a chance to beat the winter blues and to celebrate the return of spring!
“Doors of Westfield” Photo Contest
In February, everyone was invited to share their special photos, new or old, with the community in celebration of Mayor Dan Knapik’s open door policy at city hall. We received many beautiful and creative photographs of the magnificent doors located right here in Westfield.
These photos were displayed in downtown store fronts as part of the Westfield BID’s “Windows of Westfield” project during the month of February. We will making an official announcement soon of the winner’s of this event.
We would like to thank everyone who submitted a photograph for their participation and support.
