“Good Old Summer Times” returns 2009 style!

The  WESTFIELD GOOD OLD SUMMER TIMES events will take place all summer long on the Green in downtown Westfield and other locations around Westfield, including:

  • vintage baseball games including the Lumberjack Classic at Bullens Field on Aug 8
  • Thursday and Saturday Concerts on the Green
  • fireworks at Stanley Park on July 3 along with Stanley Park’s summer long 60th Anniversary Celebration
  • Summer Sounds 2009 Concerts on the Green every 2nd Thursday of the summer months at 7:30 pm
  • Theatre Downtown at Piccolo’s with “A Walk in the Woods and more!
  • the Big Band Concert/Dance Series at the Bistro’s Music Hall comes for the first time as a monthly series on the fourth Thursdays of the summer months!
  • the 82nd annual Westfield Fair at the Fairgrounds and the 6th annual Westfield Arts on the Green on Labor Day weekend.
  • the Farmer’s Market on the Green, every Thursday afternoon, 2 – 6:30 pm
  • the Friday and Sunday shows at Stanley Park
  • Musical Moments at Amelia Park every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm
  • and the Athenaeum’s Wild Reads and First Thursdays events.

Come celebrate summer with WoW, the WBID and your neighbors along with some of the best entertainment in the Pioneer Valley! Things will be kicking off with the Make Space for Healthy Summer Fun Day on June 20, a great family event… we hope to see everyone there!

WBID Announces Four Summer Concerts on the Green!

Westfield Business Improvement District Inc. (WBID) in colaboration with Westfield On Weekends (WOW) invites you to join us for 4 great evenings of music and fun!

Bring your lawn chairs, enjoy dinner before or after the show at one of our local restaurants or pick up a “concert dinner special” at one of the participating restaurants.

We will even have a “TAKE OUT TENT” on the green with menus from district restuarants for you to phone in your order and have your food delivered right to you on the green!!!

Concerts begin at 7:30 P.M. on the Town Green in Westfield Downtown!

The Summer ends with a return engagement by a fabulous band…

Thursday, September 10th will feature Roomful of Blues…

The Westfield Downtown Business District’s Summer Sounds 2009 returns for this year’s series of concerts on the Green, which are free and feature Maia Sharp on July 9 at 7:30pm. Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, the Dixie Chicks, Art Garfunkel, Keb’ Mo’, Terri Clark,  and Trisha Yearwood are among the artists who have recorded Maia’s songs and treasured her talent.
