Dickens Day Stroll

The Dickens Day Village Stroll held on December 4th was a great success! Shoppers strolled the downtown visiting shops and meeting characters right out of a Dickens novel! Above “Madame Defarge” (Kathy Coache, owner of Westfield Yarn & Thread) is greeted by Father Christmas.
Sheila Harrington was our grand prize winner of a $100 WBID gift certificate, which can be redeemed at any WBID Business in our website directory.

Father Christmas also visited “The Seat Weaver” on Arnold Street where chairs are hand-caned and locally handmade gifts are sold. The stroll is a great way to find new shops, meet friendly people and get all your Christmas shopping done. From the craft fair held at the YMCA on Court St. to Erin’s Own Irish Imports on Elm Street there was certainly something to be found for everyone on your list!
The Westfield Business Improvement District is proud to announce Karen Soares of Westfield as our first raffle prize winner for the 3/50 Project which our downtown retailers are currently participating in.

Thank you to everyone who submitted photos for our “Westfield At Work” photo contest in November. We received so many beautiful photos showing a lot of hardworking people in our city. We have displayed many of them in some of our empty storefront windows on Main Street. Take a look while you’re out shopping for the holiday season!
